This Low-Impact Floor Workout Will Activate Your Muscles and Mind

If you’re looking for a quick yet effective low-impact routine that you can do every day, we’ve got you covered. Fitness trainer and host Rachel McClusky is here to take you through a series of feel-good movements that are perfect for any skill level. Presented by OLLY Women’s Daily Multivitamin Gummy in Blissful Berry*, available at Walmart, this session is all about feeling good from the inside out.

With that in mind, McClusky begins the session by encouraging you to set an intention for the workout. Take a moment and connect to what you want to feel and focus on. Once the workout begins and your muscles start to shake, this is your reminder to recenter and return to that intention.

As for the workout which McClusky describes as “sculpt and stretch,” all you need is a mat. The exercises are unique as you work on your mobility across different planes of movement. You’ll start with cat-cows and move into variations to challenge your core with arm and leg pulses and some push-ups, because who doesn’t love push-ups?

The next set of flow movements is a side-lying series that targets your inner thighs. Your legs will be shaking, but McClusky’s positive attitude will encourage you to keep going as she reminds you to “connect to your breath and intention.” So when the burn starts to get real, remember: you got this.

You’ll give your legs a short break to move into a kneeling arm series. You can think of it as arm dancing to ignite your arms, back, and shoulders. If it starts to feel too intense, a quick break to shimmy it out will provide needed relief. As the circuit progresses, you’ll have the option to add in lower body movements. Be warned: a glute bridge series follows, so listen to your body if your legs would like the short rest.

The final section involves glute bridges and a core finisher. In the last minute, McClusky will encourage you to finish strong. And finally, you’ll return to your intention for a mindful moment to conclude the session. “It can be really hard to show up for yourself, even for 15 minutes,” McClusky says. “I know that was no easy feat. You can be proud of yourself.” You’ll end the session with muscles activated and a calm, positive mind.
